Goal:
The primary goal of the evaluation was to assess the effectiveness of the course, determine whether its learning outcomes were met, and identify opportunities for improvement to better serve its intended audience.

Solution:
The evaluation process included:

  1. Developing clear evaluation objectives and key questions.
  2. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach (qualitative and quantitative) to gather insights from diverse participants:
    • Current and past student participants
    • Teachers incorporating the course into their curriculum
    • Senior leaders and board members from major transportation companies (XPO Logistics, UPS, and DHL).
  3. Collecting data via surveys (pre- and post-course), interviews, and post-assessments to measure knowledge retention, course impact, and engagement.
  4. Analyzing findings to produce actionable recommendations for course improvement.

Learning Design Relevance:
This project exemplifies core LD competencies:

  • Instructional Evaluation: Using data-driven methodologies to determine the course's effectiveness and improve learning outcomes.
  • Audience-Centered Design: Addressing learners’ needs across multiple sectors and learning environments.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Employing formative and summative evaluation strategies to measure knowledge transfer and engagement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnering with organizations, educators, and professionals to gather actionable insights for real-world learning applications.

Outcome:
The evaluation highlighted strengths in the course's design—such as interactivity, accessibility, and relevance—while recommending enhancements in content delivery and engagement strategies. This experience demonstrates my expertise in driving data-backed improvements to ensure learning solutions achieve their intended impact.
